About New Jersey Predictions

Who publishes this site

New Jersey Predictions is published by Market Movers Media Inc. It follows the prediction markets that price New Jersey questions: the offices on the state's ballot and the other public questions an exchange has written into a contract. The pages are written under the NJPrediction Staff byline, and the publisher answers at hello@marketmoversmediainc.com.

The site is a reading desk, not a venue. Nobody can register here, place an order here or deposit a dollar here; nothing is sold, and no contract is listed by the site itself.

Where the numbers come from

Market prices on this site are exchange prices supplied by Prediction Genius and shown as percentages. Prediction Genius collects each listing exchange's public price for a contract and hands it on without adjustment, so the figure beside a venue's name on a New Jersey page is that venue's own figure at the time shown.

A percentage on this site is what a market implies, not a forecast or a recommendation. It records where buyers and sellers last agreed, and a court filing, a poll or one large order can move it within the hour. A page that shows one venue's figure says so, because a single book is not a consensus, and a page that shows two venues shows them side by side rather than blending them.

The board on a page refreshes on its own schedule; the writing around it does not. The prose says what a contract settles on, what the public record holds on the question and what would change the reading, and it leaves the number to the board, which prints the time it was last updated.

What this site does not do

No page on New Jersey Predictions says what a reader should do with a contract, and no page ranks one exchange above another on price, safety or anything else. Nothing here is investment, financial or legal advice. An exchange is named because it prices a contract, and that is the whole of what the site claims about it.

The desk neither sets a price nor nudges one. Each figure starts at an exchange and arrives on the page unchanged, the desk holds no position in any contract it writes about, and no venue pays for a page, sees one before it is published or shapes a sentence in it; the disclosure page sets that out in full.

Whether a New Jersey resident may trade a particular contract is a question this page leaves alone. The legal status page reports what the state's regulator, the federal courts and the venues' own documents have said, each with its date, and draws no conclusion from them.

Corrections and reviews

Corrections are made on the page they concern and dated. The corrected page says what was wrong and when it changed, in the open, rather than absorbing the fix into a silent rewrite. A factual error can be reported to hello@marketmoversmediainc.com with the page and the sentence at issue; the contact page lists what to send.

Every page carries the date it was last reviewed. Legal and election pages are reviewed every 14 days and after any filing or result. Pages about a club or a person come round every 30 days, the section pages every 90 days, and pages like this one every 180 days. A page whose review date has passed stays published and stays linked while it is read again; a review refreshes a page and never removes it.

Common questions

Who publishes New Jersey Predictions?

Market Movers Media Inc. publishes New Jersey Predictions and the other state sites in the same network, and the publisher's mailbox for every one of them is hello@marketmoversmediainc.com.

Where do the odds on New Jersey Predictions come from?

From the exchanges that list each contract, by way of Prediction Genius, which passes every venue's public price through unchanged. The site shows the figure as a percentage beside the name of the venue that produced it.

Can I trade on New Jersey Predictions?

No. The site is published by Market Movers Media Inc. as a news and data desk: it lists no contract of its own, opens no accounts, takes no orders and holds no money.

How do I report an error on a New Jersey Predictions page?

Write to hello@marketmoversmediainc.com, the mailbox of the publisher, Market Movers Media Inc., naming the page and the sentence at issue. When the desk agrees, the correction is made on that page and carries the date it was made.

How often is a New Jersey Predictions page checked?

Every page shows its last review date. Legal and election pages are reviewed every 14 days and after any filing or result, club and person pages every 30 days, section pages every 90 days, and this page every 180 days.
